Courses - Navigation and Rock Climbing Skills

If you're interested in either learning some mountaineering and navigation skills and techniques or brushing up on what you already know then we run bespoke courses, available out of peak season (school holidays).

Navigation Courses

At request, we run 1 and 2 day navigation and mountain skills courses. These are bespoke and ideally need two people to run (although if you're on your own get in touch and we may be able to help). You can expect to learn about map reading, using the compass, terrain, route selection and the general skills required to explore the mountains safely by yourself.

Rock Climbing Courses

If you've done some climbing before, maybe indoors, but you're interested in learning about how to climb safely outside by yourselves, then we can help. We can teach you about building top ropes, choosing and rigging anchors, appropriate use of gear, safe abseiling technique. Again, we need a minimum of 2 people to run this course and we can only offer them out of peak season. Drop us an e-mail if you're interested.
