Here’s How To Book Your Climbing Course:

Indoor To Outdoor (Intro To Trad)

This is your gateway to the world of trad climbing. If you’ve climbed indoors (or you don’t climb at all) we’ll get out climbing and likely on one of Wales’ great multi-pitch adventures. Learn how to keep yourself safe and second a trad route. 1 or 2 day courses available.

Learn to Lead – Trad Climbing

If you’ve got some climbing experience (maybe you lead indoors or even second trad pitches) this course will give you the fundamental knowledge you need to keep yourself trad climbing. Learn to place gear, build belays and all the other various essential skills. Best as a 2 – 4 day course, the more time you have the more you’ll learn!

Multi-Pitch Trad Climbing

Take your trad climbing on to the big faces! Learn the intricacies of ascending (and descending) multi-pitch routes. We will focus on building good belays, how to swing or block lead, how to get off if there’s a problem. 1 -2 day courses available.

Rock Improver – Trad Climbing

Aquire some new techniques and skills to take your trad climbing up a level. Get smoother, get safer! This course is aimed at people who climb fairly regularly and understand the fundamentals but want to push themselves. Equalised belays, directional runners, reading cruxes; there’s a whole box of skills to learn but mainly this course is about keeping you and your partner safe whilst being efficient. 1 – 3 day courses available.

Advanced Trad Climbing

Looking to push beyond HVS? Maybe you want to climb your first E1. If this sounds like you then this is your course. You need to be regularly climbing at around the VS grade. This course is about making hard climbing safe, objectively understanding the quality of your runners and deciding when to push on or when to back off. We will look at building ‘bomb shelters’ below cruxes, working out crux sequences and how to move with conviction. You want to push yourself, you just need to learn how to do it safely! Best as a 2 – 3 day course.

Falling On Trad Gear & Mental Coaching

The holy grail of trad climbing; climbing trad like it’s sport. Early on in your climbing journey falling off is basically not an option but as you push past e1/e2 it becomes a real possibility (and for me a regular occurrence). Trad climbing generally IS safe once you’ve got the skills, especially routes in the e1 – e5 grade range, but only if you know what you’re doing. There’s a huge amount to learn about falling from the climber to the belayer, your gear, directional runners etc. You need to be climbing at least VS and above for this course, and it’s best over 2 – 3 days.

Sea Cliff Climbing

Many say the best climbing in the UK is sea cliff climbing, of which we have some of the best in the world. If you want to learn how to operate down by the water this is the course for you. Sea cliff climbing is more committing; you generally cant abseil back down and walk out! We can cover most aspects (and climb a lot of routes) in a 2 day course.

Self Rescue for Trad Climbers

Learn how to get yourself out of trouble. Fortunately most problems are solved with the same bag of skills; learn to abseil retreat, ascend a rope, hoist your partner and escape a belay. A 2 day workshop covers most of what you need to learn.

North Wales Classic Climbs

Climb climb climb! This is just guided climbing (although along the way you’ll pick up lots of tips and techniques including plenty movement coaching). Trust us to take you up some of North Wales best climbs; from long mountaineering days in the Ogwen valley to Extreme Rock test pieces like Resurrection (e4) on Dinas Cromlech. We’re safe, relaxed and very efficient so you’ll get absolutely loads done!
